Best Hotel we’ve ever stayed in! We’ve travelled quite a lot but Ambong is honestly the best, amazing room, people and food. They really go above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying yourself and having a comfortable stay. Also the spa is unmissable, you have to go! Best massage ever!

We had an amazing time at Ambong Rainforest Retreat. Each staff was so friendly and welcoming since we arrived, especially Mr Naim, Mr Lee and Mr Nizal. The shuttle service is quick (less than 2 mins) and the vegan food at Pegaga Restaurant was amazing! We stayed in Singa 1 (rainforest suite) which had a stunning view and the room was beautiful. Housekeeping comes in twice a day and in the evening they’ll put mosquito coils which is much appreciated since we love to sit in the open area and enjoy the view at night. We also enjoyed the swimming pool (it was quiet during our stay) and the environment was cool.

Stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. Would have liked to have stayed longer. The unit was perched on the side of a hill in the rainforest with views to the ocean. A lot of effort went into leaving the surrounding flora undisturbed. There were monkeys and other wild animals – truly felt like you were living in the jungle. The unit itself, Rebak, was clean, comfortable and well laid out with a balcony to stare out into the distance. 5 stars have to be awarded to each and every member of staff, especially Faz, who took the effort to make us feel welcomed and at home, even though this was our first visit. I cannot commend them highly enough. Will return undoubtedly.
